Samenvatting

Glass workshop Flos from Steyl (Tegelen) was operating between 1910 and 2017. This article shortly describes the history of this business and the vicissitudes of its archive, now conserved at the Centre for the Social History of Limburg (SHCL). It also highlights the multiple choices that archivists need to make when cataloguing historical collections.

  • Judith Van Puyvelde, Sociaal Historisch Centrum voor Limburg

    Judith Van Puyvelde (1993) werkt als promovenda binnen het LIMESproject aan de Universiteit Maastricht. Ze behaalde in 2019 haar master kunstwetenschappen aan de KU Leuven. Haar promotieonderzoek spitst zich toe op ‘Atelier Glasschilderkunst F. Nicolas en Zonen, later Max Weiss (1855-1940/1968) uit Roermond in de context van de heropleving van de glasschilderkunst in de 19e en 20e eeuw in West-Europa’. Daarnaast werkt ze aan de inventaris van het archief van ‘Glasatelier Flos uit Steyl (19102017)’ als stageproject bij het Sociaal Historisch Centrum voor Limburg.
